In May as winner of the SCAP '08 Scott Redford is about to begin his residency as part of the Prize’s substantial $20,000 prize pool.

Heading into its fourth year, The Sunshine Coast Art Prize has announced that this year’s judge will be acclaimed gallery director and philanthropist Philip Bacon. Phillip established the Philip Bacon Galleries in Brisbane in 1974. The gallery was housed in a converted tile warehouse and soon established itself as Brisbane’s leading commercial art gallery attracting national attention.

Brisbane based artist, Scott Redford, was last night announced the winner of the coveted Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Sajen legal, $20,000 Sunshine Coast Art Prize, to a record crowd at the Caloundra Regional Art Gallery.

Entries are now being called for the highly coveted Sunshine Coast Art Prize.
